The Geneo® OxyPod Infusion is a gentle, customizable skin-refreshing treatment based on the OxyGeneo® step of the Geneo® technology and the complementary ultrasound-assisted delivery of active ingredients. This treatment does not include the radiofrequency skin-tightening step, so it may be an especially good choice for those who want a visible, comfortable skin-refreshing treatment but do not need or do not wish to have RF treatment.
The essence of the treatment is that the appropriate OxyPod and its matching serum are selected according to the skin condition. Oily, problematic skin needs a different active ingredient combination than dehydrated, pigmented or more mature, tired skin. This is what makes the treatment truly personalized.
The aim of the Geneo® OxyPod Infusion is to gently refresh the skin, delicately remove dead skin cells, support oxygenation and help deliver targeted active ingredients into the skin with the support of ultrasound.
The aim of the treatment
This treatment may be a good choice as a standalone skin-refreshing treatment, as part of a course of treatments, or when the guest would like a shorter but still visible skin-refreshing protocol compared with the full Geneo® treatment.
Who is it recommended for?
The Geneo® OxyPod Infusion treatment can be adapted to several skin conditions and may be recommended for:
A special advantage of the treatment is that it can be adapted in different directions according to the selected OxyPod and serum: cleansing and balancing, hydrating, brightening or radiance-boosting anti-aging care.
Treatment steps
The treatment begins with an assessment of the skin’s current condition. I check whether the skin is mainly dehydrated, oily, sensitive, pigmented, dull, mature or problematic.
Based on this, I select the most suitable OxyPod and its matching serum. The aim is always to avoid a fixed template and instead adapt the treatment to the skin’s current needs.
The treatment starts with thorough but gentle cleansing. The aim is to remove makeup, sebum, sunscreen and impurities without unnecessarily drying or irritating the skin.
A clean skin surface is important so that the OxyGeneo® step and ultrasound-assisted active ingredient delivery can be performed evenly and effectively.
The first central technological step of the treatment is the OxyGeneo® phase. In this phase, I work with the OxyPod selected according to the skin condition.
The OxyGeneo® step combines several effects at the same time:
The OxyPods contain citric acid and sodium bicarbonate, which react with each other and produce carbon dioxide on the surface of the skin. The local presence of carbon dioxide may, through the Bohr effect, encourage haemoglobin in the blood to release more oxygen in the treated area. This process supports the skin’s natural oxygenation and refreshing effect.
After the OxyGeneo® step, the treatment continues with the serum matching the selected OxyPod and ultrasound-assisted active ingredient delivery.
The cosmetic purpose of ultrasound is to help active ingredients enter the skin more effectively, while also providing a gentle micromassage. It may also support tissue circulation and contribute to a fuller, more hydrated and fresher skin feel.
This step is especially important because this is where the treatment becomes truly targeted: the skin receives not only general refreshing, but care directed at its current needs with the help of the selected serum.
If the condition of the skin and the time frame of the treatment allow it, the technological steps may be complemented by a short, pleasant face, neck and décolleté massage.
The massage may help enhance comfort, support circulation and increase the relaxing, wellness-like character of the treatment. The movements are always adapted to the current condition of the skin; in the case of more sensitive or inflammation-prone skin, the massage is shorter, gentler or, if necessary, omitted.
As a delicate complementary step, special attention is given to the eye area and the lips. These zones are more sensitive, can become dehydrated more easily, and often show signs of fatigue sooner.
Targeted care helps the area feel more hydrated, fresher and more comfortable, while contributing to a fresh and harmonious overall appearance.
During daytime, the treatment is finished with sun protection. Since the treatment includes gentle skin-surface refreshing and active ingredient delivery, UV protection is especially important.
The finishing product is always selected according to the guest’s needs and the current condition of the skin. A high-protection sunscreen may be used for a light, natural finish, while a BB cream-type sunscreen may also be chosen if a more even-looking complexion is desired.
The Balance OxyPod and serum are designed to support oily, shiny, blemish-prone skin. Activated charcoal may help bind excess sebum and impurities, while salicylic acid and mandelic acid may support a clearer, more balanced-looking complexion.
Main goal: to support a clearer, less shiny and more balanced-looking complexion.
The Hydrate OxyPod and serum support hydration and comfort in dry, dehydrated, tight-feeling skin. Water-binding and hydrating ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, trehalose, botanical oils and antioxidants may help create a fuller, more elastic and more comfortable skin feel.
Main goal: to support a more hydrated, fuller and more comfortable skin feel.
The Illuminate OxyPod and serum provide complementary support for the care of pigmentation, sun damage and uneven skin tone. Lactobionic acid has gentle exfoliating and hydrating properties, while kojic acid, alpha-arbutin and stable vitamin C derivatives help support a more even, radiant-looking complexion.
Main goal: to support a more even-toned, brighter and fresher-looking complexion.
The Glam OxyPod and serum are designed to refresh and nourish more mature, tired skin that has lost its radiance. Carnosine, silk powder, gold, hyaluronic acid and nourishing botanical oils may support a more radiant, refined and elegant-looking complexion.
Main goal: to support a more nourished, radiant and fresher-looking complexion.
